Gratitude + The Bad Bettys on Bikes

Financial Wellness Weekly By Michele Nosari Bad Bettys On Bikes...Circa 1999: Tanya, Ellen, Michele, Charlotte, Anne, Grace, Deb and Kelly

Introducing: The Bad Bettys on Bikes

Many years ago, I was newer to Summit County and looking for my place. Then I was invited by a co-worker to join a group of women on a week long hut to hut bike trip, most of whom I didn't know at all.

These ladies became fast friends through the trials, tribulations, and successes during the trip. All while fixing multiple flat tires, getting caught in the rain, avoiding bears, and more!

Little did I know, these women would role model many things for me. While in the beginning I learned mountain bike and camping skills. Then it was more life skills like how to cook (Heck they even hosted my wedding brunch!) But something I will forever give this friend group credit for is how open about money we were with each other. We have talked about everything from credit scores, salaries, 401k's, to our family history and managing money with our significant others. Nothing was off the table. We all shared and we all learned.

The more I think about how I got onto this path of being a money coach and now pursuing becoming a financial advisor, the Bad Bettys on Bikes were an integral part of this journey.

I am forever grateful for their candid, honest experiences, their friendships, and the fun we have had over the years!

How do you feel about talking about money? Do you have a community you feel safe and comfortable sharing your story or asking questions?

If you don't have anyone in your life,

I'm here! Plus I host workshops for your friend group or community to open the floodgates and encourage healthy and comfortable conversations about money.

♥︎ My Favorite Things This Week ♥︎

Living in the mountains in the winter is more joyous when it SNOWS. It's also nice to head down to Denver and be able to wear sandals.

With more snow in the forecast and a new haircut, I'm feeling fresh and ready for all that winter has to offer!

Financial Wellness Resource of the Week

Net Worth & Income Walk Into A Bar:

Your net worth is the amount by which your assets exceed your liabilities. In simple terms, net worth is the difference between what you own and what you owe.

If your assets exceed your liabilities, you have a positive net worth. Conversely, if your liabilities are greater than your assets, you have a negative net worth.

Check out my blog about what happens when Net Worth and Income walk into a bar.....

Spoiler Alert: Net Worth is Income's Nerdy Cousin!

Thank you for joining me on this journey as I expand my services from Money Coach to Financial Advisor. I believe working women have the right to make informed and confident decisions about their financial well being.

I’m Michele Nosari, and I am not your daddy’s advisor.

Gratefully, Michele
